You can't afford a security department.
You can afford this.

Enterprise-grade security monitoring for small businesses — installed, tuned, and explained in plain English by someone who has been doing this for twenty years.

No obligation. Twenty minutes. I'll tell you honestly if you don't need it.

The Problem

Most small businesses find out they were breached when somebody else tells them

A customer calls. The bank calls. Or the ransom note appears on a screen one morning.

By then the intruder has usually been inside for weeks. Not because the business did anything stupid — but because nothing was watching. No alarm, no log review, nobody looking. The tools that catch this early were built for corporations with security departments, priced for corporations, and staffed by people who cost six figures a year.

So small businesses go without, and hope. Hope has stopped being a strategy.

Your insurer is asking

Cyber insurance renewals now ask whether you monitor your systems and keep logs. Answering "no" costs money, and sometimes cover.

Your customers are asking

Larger clients send security questionnaires before they'll sign. If you can't answer them, you don't get the contract.

Your regulator may be asking

Medical, dental, legal and financial practices all carry duties about protecting records. Those duties assume somebody is watching.

The Change

The software is now free. The expertise is what you were missing.

Wazuh is a genuine enterprise security platform — the same class of tool large organisations run — and it is open source. No licence fee. No per-seat charge that grows every year.

What it needs is somebody who can install it properly, tune it so it reports real problems instead of drowning you in noise, and translate what it finds into something you can act on.

Tuning is the step almost everyone skips. An untuned system fires hundreds of meaningless alerts a day, everyone stops reading them, and within a month it is switched off. That is how most small deployments die. It is the part I spend the most time on.

What I actually do

Buy Online

Published prices. Pay by card.

For clients who have already spoken to me and know what they need. If you haven't, start with the free conversation instead — I would rather you bought the right thing.

What I am not

I am not a 24-hour security operations centre. Monitoring and reporting run during business hours. If you need somebody awake at three in the morning watching a screen, you need a different sort of company — and I'll tell you which ones to call. What I offer is that the evidence is being collected, the obvious things are caught early, and somebody who understands it is looking at it regularly. For most small businesses that is the difference between finding out in a week and finding out in a year.

Included With Every Purchase

I wrote the manual. You get a copy.

A Field Manual for Wazuh — Building and Running Your First Security Monitoring System on Linux Mint. Thirty-one chapters. Published on Amazon. Written by the man who will be installing your system.

Most consultants leave behind a system nobody in the building understands, which is how you end up paying them forever. I would rather you understood what you own. So every installation, every server and every monthly client gets the book — the same one people buy on Amazon — free.

Who You're Dealing With

This isn't a new field for me

MR

Michael Rozov. Twenty years in network security and monitoring, returning to it under a new name.

I was an HP OpenView Certified Consultant — enterprise network and systems monitoring, agent-based collection, central management, alerting. Wazuh is the same architecture a generation on. I installed it, configured it and trained the administrators who ran it, across banks, utilities and multi-site retailers.

Before that and since: ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and network surveillance systems designed and project-managed for US Department of Homeland Security grantees.

Where I Work

New York, New Jersey and Connecticut

On site across the tri-state area. Remotely, anywhere.

I am based in the Hudson Valley, so Westchester, Orange and the New York metropolitan area are the quickest for me to reach. The rest of the tri-state area is perfectly normal work — it simply means the visit is planned rather than same-week.

And a great deal of this does not need me in the room at all. The tuning, the monthly review and most troubleshooting are done remotely. What you get either way is somebody who answers the phone himself and knows exactly what he installed — not a call centre and not a ticket number.
