I was an HP OpenView Certified Consultant — enterprise network and systems monitoring, agent-based collection, central management, alerting. Wazuh is the same architecture a generation on. I installed it, configured it and trained the administrators who ran it, across banks, utilities and multi-site retailers.
Before that and since: ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and network surveillance systems designed and project-managed for US Department of Homeland Security grantees.
I still do this work on my own equipment before I do it on anybody else’s — a multi-server environment at my workshop, Linux and Windows, with Wazuh watching it.

I am based in the Hudson Valley. Westchester, Orange and the New York metropolitan area are the quickest for me to reach; the rest of the tri-state area is perfectly normal work, planned rather than same-week.
Security work done remotely by a company three states away is fine until something goes wrong. Then you want somebody who will answer the phone himself, knows what he installed, and can get to you. That is the difference — not a call centre, not a ticket number.
